The Drowsy Chaperone was a complete theatric and comic experience. The songs and dances were absolutely engaging, complete with orchestral accompanyment. Broadway couldn't have put it on any better, especially on such short notice and rehearsal time with the youthful performers. Kudos to all.
I have seen many shows at New England Youth Theatre. They utilize talented directors from the area with great professional credentials. The performances are usually spectacularly produced in this great little theater, which is hidden away in what used to be some kind of warehouse, I think. It really always amazes me that the shows put on there are so excellent - rivaling professional shows I've seen in Boston and New York, no joke. The production of It's a Wonderful Life, was one of the most beautiful pieces of theater I've seen in a long time. If you're in town, go see a show, they are usually great for families, but also for those who just want to take in some good theater.
