I have found the workers there all knowledgable and quick at their jobs

and she indicated she needed to finish what she was doing. I told her that was fine & I was in no hurry. She snapped back "She was." She made it quite plain she did not want to wait on me. By then it was 11:15 so the passport office was still supposed to be open. She was so rude I left even though I still need to apply for a passport. I do not recommend going here to get your passport unless you want to be treated like someone is doing you a favor instead of doing their job

Really nice Staff

I have been twice to the post office to get a passport. The first time I was there around 11:25 and the sign on the door said they were open until 11:30. I did not want to keep the woman who does the passports after the closing time so left with an application. I went by again at 11:05 a few weeks later. I knocked on the door, no one answered, knocked again, no answer. The sign said go to the front to ask for help. So I did and waited in line until someone could wait on me. The man found the woman who does the passports and she came out front with mail in her hands. Her body language & tone of voice clearly showed she was annoyed. I asked if I should go back to the door to wait for her

On September 13th, I went to the post office located on Main Street in Brattleboro to purchase a money order from one of the postal workers. I guess he thought he was trying to be funny and asked me if I would like to buy a green card with my purchase that day. Living in Brattleboro, Vermont, and being one of the very few African-American people I see in this area, I found his "joke" to be tactless and racist. I do not think that he would have made such a comment to any of my white counterparts. The only reason that this post gets even one star is because I was able to get my money order in a timely manner. Other than that, I was completely disgusted with the individual and the experience.

The lines can be way too long BUT the guys that work there are great and super friendly!
