I liked it a lot.... take a steam... sauna.... hot tub... swim... NARVANA...
i cant see how anyone would like this place. im not someone who is used to staying in nice hotels, so i am not rating this according to holiday inn standards. this place is really old. i went to their website and everything looked ok, but the site was missing the most important piece of information, a photo of the actual room. they have heaps of photos of the pool, and surrounding areas, but none of the room itself. i dont know about anyone else, but i sleep in the room, not in the pool, or spa. without a decent room, a hotel is nothing. now i will not argue that this hotel has a nice lounge, but again, i am not sleeping there. the bed was really old, and you can see the age of it by the stains. i wouldnt pay any more than $30 for a room here. they charged me $60, so its double what its worth. i stayed at motel 6 down the road and it was cheaper and better. i am not saying that motel 6 is all that great either. so that should tell you something.
This place is pure heaven! Not only have the rooms been updated but now the place has two pools! The new 2nd pool is perfect, it is a lap pool with a nice wide lanes for swimmers and it is heated to at least 84 degrees. The old pool is available to those that don't want to swim laps, it is also 84 degrees with a nice windowed ceiling. The hot tub has it's own room with a view to the outside and a new exercise room with great new equipment and TV's to keep your mind off exercising. This is the best thing to happen to Brattleboro since popcorn at Sam's!!
i dont know what this other person is talking about - it was GREAT! very clean rooms, very nice folks, and very cost efficient. The spa is awesome! red wood hot tub, salt water pool, hot and wet saunas, all included in the price of the room. i recommend it and will stay there next time i visit brattleboro.
